U-Serve {United We Serve}
U-Serve is a platform to enable and inspire Christians and their friends to reach their full potential in service in the local community and the world of which they are an integral part.
1. U-Care {United We Care}
"Care for the Local Community"
- visits to the local children's home,
- Helping with Café Grenzenlos in the city (for the homeless)
- Visiting neighbours
2. U-Include {United We Include}
"Include the Outsider"
- German lessons
- Meeting for Coffee
- Parties with Assylum Seekers
3. U-Free{United We Free}
"Make Slavery History?"
- makes the scandal of modern-day slavery known in their circle of influence
- aims to end slavery in their lifetime
4. U-Finance {United We Finance}
"Live Righteousness, Seek Equality"
- 1. "Gerechtigkeit Leben"
- eg. spending over 50% of what we'd planned on presents for friends on help for those poverty stricken eg a sheep in Afrika
- 2. "Dein Überflüss : Ihr Überleben" saving up loose change and sending it to Hope International to "micro-finance" women setting up in small business.
5. U-Celebrate {United We Celebrate}
"Let's Party and Connect"
- Jazz Breakfast in Obernau 24th July
- 1001 Nights - a Persian Party 14th August
- U-Church- starts in Obernau 6th November
- Box Stop - 6 parties a year for all involved with U-Serve
